Service Business Improvement Service PMO
With our corporate strategy objective of being "Global leader in the wind service solutions market", we have ambitious growth targets for Service in the coming years. To achieve such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally.

Service PMO supports Service senior management and project/program managers to execute on the strategy with a comprehensive project portfolio. Service PMO drives proactive portfolio management from roadmap candidates to full regional or global implementation by sustaining sound and efficient governance for portfolio management and strategy execution. We ensure that focus is kept on the right investments and efficient execution both in development and implementation.

You will be part of an ambitious team including a Portfolio Manager, Business Transformation Specialist, Project Controller and a Student Worker. You will have interfaces and collaboration with a broad stakeholder group of Sub-portfolio owners, Line managers, Product, Program & Project managers within Service and stakeholders across Vestas in R&D, Manufacturing and Global IT.

Responsibilities
As Project Process Specialist you will report to the Head of PMO and you will be responsible for driving continuous development and implementation of project management methodologies. Agile project execution is a key area where you will be leading the joint efforts across Service to develop our capabilities.

The daily work varies from developing processes and templates, engaging with stakeholders to secure alignment, training the organisation in various project management areas and supporting specific projects on activities as tailoring or lessons learned.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Drive optimisation of product development process for Service using Vestas Way to Market project execution model and agile methodologies
  • Define, drive and develop strategic initiatives within project management area to support the strategy for Service
  • Develop training sessions and facilitate the organisation in usage of new processes activities and templates
  • Train and support Project Managers, Line Managers and their teams in using the relevant project and resource management processes and tools (act as Super User and first line support for the teams).
  • Participate in cross-Vestas project process and tools development initiatives
  • Organise and lead project management community
  • Facilitate and collect lessons learned in projects in Service for continuous improvement of project management standards and maintain the PMO team sites and documents as a backbone for training and guidance to the organisation

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree at Master level or higher within business administration, economics or engineering
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience working within the project management area, with specific experience in:
    • A client-facing role, building relationships with stakeholders at all levels
    • A hands-on delivery role with proven knowledge about Project Management waterfall and agile methods (PRINCE2, SCRUM)


Other desired qualifications

  • SAFe experience / knowledge
  • SCRUM, SAFe certifications or other advanced agile certifications
  • Previous Agile transformation experience including the use of collaboration tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps
  • Experience monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of Agile delivery teams
  • Expert knowledge of various Agile tools

  • Strong change management skills
  • Perceived by stakeholders as supportive and professional delivering high-quality analysis and consultancy
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to collaborate with all levels in the organisation
  • Proactive and works efficiently to get things done without compromising quality
  • Sound analytical toolbox – excellent understanding of complex problems and extracting key conclusions
