This is your opportunity to apply your programming skills to develop full-stack digital solutions based on clinical and real-world pharmaceutical data assets. In this position you will build data science solutions that will enable more intelligent use of data and ultimately improve the lives of people living with chronic diseases.
About the department
In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product launch. We provide medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to global standards, regulations and business ethics.
You will become a part of our newly established Digital Innovation department belonging to Global Development and located in Søborg, Denmark. The aim of the department is to develop novel digital solutions to increase value generation throughout the clinical development value chain. The digital solutions span across many areas and technologies, but a central objective is to develop new ways of creating value from our vast data repositories and to automate administrative and manual tasks.
The position
As Data Scientist you will use your programming skills and understanding of data to develop concrete solutions to support the business. The typical solution will be a web app for the user to access various data and analytics. Our current tech stack includes R Shiny but we expect to include Python Flask/Django in the near future. The common denominator of the solutions we develop is that they provide data insights in an intuitive way to internal customers in the organization. We have a cloud-based CI/CD setup so developers can collaborate and deploy solutions in a fast and secure way.
We would like if you could tick of some of these boxes:
- A master’s degree or PhD in a field of modelling like Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, Social Sciences or similar.
- 3-5 years of experience with programming, data science/engineering or equivalent.
- Strong analytical mindset and a high level of statistical understanding.
- Solid experience with R and Shiny and have developed several Shiny apps.
- Experience with Python and Flask/Django.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of the webstack and the roles of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Familiarity with bash shell and docker containers.
Experience with clinical data and working in a regulated setting will be an advantage – as will experience with CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps) and agile (scrum) principles.
