Are you looking for an exciting hands-on learning opportunity to supplement your studies? Are you studying a Master’s degree and do you want to work with process analysis and optimisation in Novo Nordisk? Join our team as an intern in Novo Nordisk and get an opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues from many different nationalities.
About the department
You get the opportunity to join a newly established department in Bagsværd, Denmark, responsible for driving the strategy and business development in Sourcing Operations. Sourcing Operations are responsible for the inbound supply chain of direct spend materials in Novo Nordisk A/S and a part of the central Supply Chain Management organisation. We are approximately 25 employees divided in 3 teams.
The position
You will work in the Digitalisation & Business Intelligence team, where you support one of our focus areas which are to expand the use of data and business intelligence tools in our department, to enhance transparency and enable intelligent decision making. You will get the opportunity to get practical experience in working with e.g. predictive modelling, explore different advanced technologies and BI tools like Alteryx and Tableau. Further, you will provide ad hoc analysis for the management group and to various projects in our organisation. You will also get the opportunity to drive and implement changes across our department, based on the analysis you are working with. In this role you will work closely with your colleagues both in DK and our organisation in Bangalore, India. You will enjoy a high degree of independence in your work, and get the opportunity to get familiar with the supply chain within Novo Nordisk thoroughly. Your success is dependent on your collaboration skills and ability to understand our landscape and processes.
- Internship period: 3-6 months
- Working hours: Flexible (min. 18 and max. 37 hours a week)
- Start date: August or September 2020
- Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
- A Danish full time work permit is required
Qualifications
We envision an intern who is passionate about inbound supply chain management and maybe is seeking a career within this field. You are currently studying on your master’s degree within supply chain management, engineering or other relevant field. Ability to manage various data and prepare analysis is required, as well as fluency in both oral and written English. General knowledge of the project management disciplines is preferred. You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. In addition, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude and a healthy sense of humour to your work – even when the pressure is on. You must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning. You communicate effectively, meet deadlines and approach tasks in a structured way. You have a strong analytical mindset, both in terms of data and processes. Finally, you are a dedicated team player who inspires trust amongst colleagues and partners.
