The position As Senior Decarbonisation Expert, you will be responsible for decarbonising our scope 3 emissions, which is key to reach our NetZero 2045 target. The key areas of responsibility are:
  • Develop and execute on decarbonisation roadmap for high carbon intense procurement categories
  • Develop supplier engagement strategy in close collaboration with our sourcing and procurement units
  • Participate in supplier dialogues to support suppliers on how decarbonisation levers such as renewable energy can be implemented
  • Provide insights on various decarbonisation levers on material and technological level such as Power-to-X, Green ammonia or biobased materials
  • Contribute to setting a scope 3 absolute target in line with Science Based Target initiative criteria
  • Support internal stakeholders on climate related problem statements
  • Qualifications You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering or another relevant field with excellent results. You have +6 years’ experience in climate and decarbonisation field preferably working with high intense supply chain. It is a plus to have previous experience with:
  • Project management
  • Renewable energy sourcing
  • Decarbonisation technologies, e.g. Power-to-X
  • As a person, you are results oriented and can navigate in a multi stakeholder landscape. You have excellent communication skills and can convey even complex messages in a simple way. You feel comfortable engaging with stakeholders at different levels and from all parts of the organisation. Furthermore, you are proactive and independently working.     We consist of 16 dedicated project managers and specialists all highly engaged in driving the environmental strategy of Novo Nordisk – all located in Bagsværd, Denmark. Furthermore, we have a dedicated team of 4 colleagues in India. Our responsibility includes a variety of environmental initiatives across the organisation and with external stakeholders. We develop and deploy environmental strategies, run cross organisational projects, drive environmental intelligence and ensure internal and external communication leading to a reduced Novo Nordisk environmental footprint.
