The position As a Product Portfolio Partner, your main task will be to take ownership of a key cornerstone product portfolio within Novo Nordisk and ensure strong and diligent support from a sourcing angle across the portfolio. You will represent Strategic Sourcing in selected product-related core teams and relevant governance fora to maximize the potential of marketed brands within the portfolio and support the development of the next generation of drugs based on the product platform
  • Play a central role in ensuring that the needs of the Semaglutide product platform are timely addressed across the sourcing organization and that the insights from the sourcing organization are prepared, synchronized, and presented in the right form at the right time to influence decision-making.
  • Support strategy development on a product, portfolio, and category level by contributing key insights, providing a holistic view across the product portfolio, and leveraging insights from sourcing categories and support functions.
  • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders from various functions, ranging from peer level to senior management, both within and outside of Strategic Sourcing, to deliver on the above responsibilities.
  • Anticipate working independently on specific days to plan and execute your work, enabling timely and proactive influence or support in decision-making for Core Teams, relevant governance forums, and the categories you engage with.
  • Gain insights into and influence the Novo Nordisk drug pipeline and the landscape of marketed products, leveraging your portfolio mindset to apply strategic recommendations effectively.
  • Engage with Novo Nordisk's most important product platform, building a broad network that not only fulfills critical needs and offers interesting opportunities but also serves as a unique foundation for future career development in diverse strategic areas related to product development, production, and sourcing.
  • Qualifications
    To succeed in this role, you have:
  • a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or similar.
  • minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, portfolio management, category management, or similar functions within a pharmaceutical company. A solid understanding of pharmaceutical production and/or sourcing experience is a plus.
  • self-driven and use your strong planning and collaboration skills to navigate in a complex organization and highly diverse working environment with many projects, products, and stakeholders.
  • portfolio and strategic mindset that allows you to spot and act timely upon key insights.
  • bring a positive mindset and good sense of humor to work even when the pressure is on, as you have learned that results are best achieved through good relations, positive curiosity, and trust in one another.
  • As a prerequisite for this, solid English language skills (both in speech and in writing) are required.
    About the department
    Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, responsible for medium- and long-term strategic sourcing activities, which involves global identification and strategic management of suppliers for Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production sites. You will be part of Strategy & Business Intelligence, where we drive cross-unit projects and contribute with value-adding strategy, quality, financial, social/environmental, commercial, and market intelligence support to the five other departments in Strategic Sourcing, as well as define various standards and processes, which are used in sourcing activities across Novo Nordisk's worldwide Product Supply division.

    You will enter a thorough, yet fast-paced and ambitious environment, where we collaborate closely with stakeholders inside and outside Strategic Sourcing. The office is in the Product Supply HQ in Bagsværd, where 18 competent colleagues in the Strategy & Business Intelligence team look forward to welcoming you.
