The Position As Associate Director/Manager, Corporate Integration, you will become part of the small but growing Corporate Integration team, working on both live integrations of companies and assets acquired by Novo Nordisk as well as building a new capability for Novo Nordisk. Your results will contribute to securing long-term success of acquired innovations, companies, and organizations, and ultimately to a growing offering of therapies and solutions to people living with chronic diseases world-wide. Your responsibilities will involve:
  • Collaborating to manage planning and execution of the integration of business development opportunities (asset and company acquisitions), as part of an Integration Management Office for each project. Tasks include for example onboarding integration team, driving integration-specific due diligence, setting up the integration management office (IMO), and coordinating overall work from pre-deal to IMO phase-out

  • Managing sub-projects overseen by the Integration Management Office during live integrations

  • Leading strategic and process improvement projects to establish the capability for M&A integrations within Novo Nordisk, in collaboration with team members.

  • This position is a maternity cover of 12 months.
    Qualifications To excel in this role you have:
  • M.A./M.Sc. degree with content focus on e.g., international business, stakeholder management, project management, business communications or life sciences

  • Knowledge of the pharma value chain and business and preferably have relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations

  • Demonstrated track record of business development transactions such as M&A or M&A integration and/or change management

  • Ability to manage complex projects and thrive in a dynamic project environment.

  • Understanding of multicultural impact on business relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders including experience in working in an international context and environment

  • As a person you show strong interpersonal skills and can collaborate and motivate others cross-functionally, across organizations and cultures. You enjoy taking initiative, working in a dynamic project environment, and can effectively manage multiple projects if required. You have a strong ability to manage and resolve complex issues and bring a can-do attitude. You are a strong communicator, with cultural and emotional intelligence, and demonstrate proactive stakeholder management at all levels. You understand the value of structure and systematization. You like to challenge current perceptions and drive change.

    Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including internationally, is required to support ongoing integration activities.

    About the Department Corporate Alliance Management handles a complex portfolio of strategic external alliances across the value chain with focus on clinical and commercial stage and across therapeutic areas in Novo Nordisk. Responsibilities include leading the strategic discussions and decision-making processes to effectively lead external collaborations and partnerships. We are currently building a team anchored in Integration & Strategic Alliances in Corporate Development based in Novo Nordisk’s Headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark.
