Are you an experienced project management professional or production manager with a passion for overseeing complex medical device component production processes? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where your leadership skills can make a real impact? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Senior Project Manager – Medical Device Manufacturing at Novo Nordisk. This job will be in Greater Copenhagen for the first 6-12 months, whereafter you will spend a significant amount of time at the greenfield site, which is located two hours outside of Copenhagen. The position The main objective of this position is to oversee the strategic direction of the large greenfield facility, designing, aligning, merging and optimizing manufacturing processes. Additionally, it involves project planning, scheduling, and effective execution of projects, which are initiated by the Project Director. You should also set direction, develop a skillset, coach and guide the Senior Project Managers/Project managers to fulfil project goals and apply corrective actions when necessary. Your responsibilities include: Secure that major greenfield project obtains manufacturing processes according to tech transfer plan from the manufacturing partner Secure operational readiness of all functions within the scope of Project Director in collaboration with several senior project managers and track leads Project and people management Internal and external stakeholder management Communication and cross-functional cooperation Portfolio management, strategy, and tactics understanding
Qualifications The job requires a very high degree of cross-functional collaboration and management skills. Proactively defines overall project goals and deliverables in close collaboration with the Project Director and project management peers. Adds value to every aspect of the project by delivering key professional insights and shaping approaches and methods. Actively drives project decision-making and decision implementation. Is consistently on top of the situation and project progress. Ideally, you see yourself in the following description: Bringing 10 or more years of relevant work experience in senior roles, with proven track record of effectively managing a large number of people – either directly or indirectl Minimum 6 years of project management experience leading cross-functional projects, potentially on global Typically you held several other positions within large pharmaceutical or medical device companies, some of these have included project management and managerial responsibilities Experience within operations leadership or manufacturing, preferably from a medical device or pharmaceutical production industry
About the department The Fill & Finish Expansions DMS II project is a greenfield project in Denmark, with the objective of setting up plastic injection moulding and pre-assembly capabilities for our upcoming device manufacturing. You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approximately 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees. Fill & Finish Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and build all major fill & finish expansion projects across PSQIT to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our fill & finish facilities with the use of modern technology. We are setting the standards for the facilities of the future, designing facilities we will still be proud of 20 years from now. Fill & Finish Expansions has a global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.
