The position
You will report to the VP of DSCM, and your key areas of responsibilities include, but not limited to:
The position offers you a unique opportunity focused in research and pre – clinical up to Phase 1), to be a strong and visible driver of strategic initiatives with a wide range of internal stakeholders in R&ED, Development and Commercial which will significantly impact digitalisation of Novo Nordisk in early research and manage a team of Strategy Partners.

Digital Science & Innovation (DSI) is supporting the digital journey across all our therapy areas in R&ED. In DSI, we work in multidisciplinary teams – in strong collaboration with all areas across R&ED and R&ED IT. We participate in drug development projects across the value chain, from early discovery to pre-clinical development. We engage in external collaborations to ensure access to the latest research and technology enablers and we automate our labs and processes, and we focus on developing and retaining top talent.

The position
You will report to the VP of DSCM, and your key areas of responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Defines and embeds innovation strategies to drive high quality decisions and influence the culture across R&ED (Research & Early Development) business areas with a focus on identifying unmet needs, harmonizing the customer experience, amplifying and accelerating the overall scientific innovation in early research
- Develop meaningful, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholder to drive innovation, anticipating changes in the customer behaviour landscape and adjusting the strategic direction accordingly
- Collaborate and facilitate strategy development with partners across disciplines and areas, including e.g. R&ED, Development, Commercial, Global IT and Finance
- Scope, establish and project manage strategy initiatives with a high level of visibility, hands-on interaction and accountability throughout the Novo Nordisk value chain
- Drive the cultural changes required to change our ways of working and think “digital-first” in everything we do

Qualifications
We are looking for a robust professional that can bring extensive knowledge to our team helping us to constantly grow as a leading international key player within the pharmaceutical industry.
To succeed in this role, you have:
- Graduate degree or equivalent in life sciences (or MBA with bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in life science)
- Strong background of pharma, life science or biotech is a must with specific proven experience in digitalisation of early research and drug discoveryDeep understanding of the R&D value chain or digital science and innovation disciplines (e.g. automation, data infrastructure, data management, data science, external activities and scientific intelligence) is an advantage
- Direct experience of leading and managing cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrate and support diversity and inclusion practises.
- Demonstrate servant leadership
- Open to relocate
