About the department

We work on both a strategic and operational level, and drive projects across Medical Affairs in HQ and worldwide. To ensure impact of our projects, we collaborate with key affiliates and other stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of the Medical Affairs function globally and to contribute to the Medical Affairs Vision of Improving Patient’s Lives.

The position
In this role as Business Partner Manager, you will be a part of the Strategic Partnering team and allocated to one of the cardiovascular medical teams, working closely with the Medical Director.

Together, you will be responsible for:

  • excellent project management
  • oversight and execution of strategic projects
  • optimising how we work, while you drive cross area activities, such as the strategy process
  • secure knowledge sharing with the other Business Partners in GMA
  • overview of the budgets across all our 5 Medical Affairs focus areas
  • suggesting allocation/projects to the Medical Director based on your insight and the strategic direction for the area

You will work on both the conceptual level by developing the strategic Medical Product Plan, medical education strategy and global launch strategies with the medical doctors/director, but also “get your hands dirty” with the execution of projects and follow-up on budgets and project milestones. Finally, you will secure the tracking, reporting and performance management in alignment with the Medical Director and the team.

You will be collaborating closely with 10 Business Partners, who have the same role as you, and are working with the other products of the Novo Nordisk diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer’s, and cardiovascular disease portfolio, and with project managers across GMA, who drive activities that are relevant for ‘your’ area. 80% of your time will be spent with the medical team, while the remaining is spent with your Business Partner/project management colleagues in Strategic Partnering.

Qualifications
We are looking for a Business Partner Manager who is passionate about project management and stakeholder management, and the interplay between the science and business within pharma.

Our ideal candidate holds:

  • Master’s degree in business or other related fields
  • At least 4-6 years of relevant experience with cross-functional, global project management within the pharmaceutical industry or experience from multiple areas within the pharma value chain
  • An understanding of Medical Affairs role is an advantage, but we believe in hiring for talent and training for skill

This role requires you to be well-organised, and strategic, yet not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You can communicate ideas in an assertive manner, and work in depth with budgets in Excel. You must be able to strategically plan and execute across multiple projects simultaneously, work both in a team and independently, and explicitly prioritize while moving at high speed. You are fluent in both oral and written English.

Finally, you bring a can-do attitude, a collaborative mind-set and a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on. You have a professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative and responsibility for your projects.
