Global IT SAP Platform Enterprise Platform
The Enterprise Platform Team is part of Vestas Global IT, covering the SAP platform (SAP development and SAP Basis), where we run & manage 120+ SAP systems, APP & API where we develop and run more than 100 Apps and 800 interfaces, User Experience will assist capturing business requirements and ensure adoption of solution. Test and Release management across all IT functions is also a part of the team.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with projects or based on technical requirements, you will design and decide architecture of SAP on-premise hardware structures and cloud systems for our SAP Platform. Ordering of new VMware servers with tools and service catalogs provided by the Infrastructure team. Collaborate with other teams on related integrations and network questions. Furthermore, your area of responsibility and tasks include:

Responsibilities
In collaboration with projects or based on technical requirements, you will design and decide architecture of SAP on-premise hardware structures and cloud systems for our SAP Platform. Ordering of new VMware servers with tools and service catalogs provided by the Infrastructure team. Collaborate with other teams on related integrations and network questions. Furthermore, your area of responsibility and tasks include:
Primary
- Definition of SAP policies and guidelines, as well as processes for SAP changes and service windows (releases). Collaboration with release coordination teams. General responsibility for transport management and related areas like retrofit and customising synchronisation
- Collaborate with external partners on overall performance tuning of the SAP systems. This can be promoted by either Early Watch reports, Technical Performance Optimization services (TPO) reports or own initiatives
- Research and Proof of Concepts (POC) of new technologies or solutions
- Support projects and consultants in project planning, addon and notes installations and solution design
- Plan and coordinate yearly upgrade and patching of relevant systems in collaboration with functional teams and ongoing projects. To some extend you will be involved when our external partners do upgrades, and therefore your own hands-on experience will be needed
Secondary
- General definition and approval of operational and monitoring procedures for the SAP-Basis domain. Operations are handled by our external partners, and we have follow-up meetings together with other governance teams
- Support and guide external partners with technical configuration of SAP within the SAP-Basis domain
- Incident resolution is organised by external partners and you may be involved occasionally as required
- Participate and comment on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) coordinated by problem management team
- Collaboration with Digital Platform teams about cross-platform solutions and processes. This covers performance, monitoring and design questions
- Plan and support regular refresh of project and QA systems
Qualifications
To qualify for the position, you have most of the following:
- At least 8-10 years of SAP Basis experience
- Experience with performing upgrade and patching
- Relevant SAP courses within system administration
- B.Sc. in Computer Engineering / Computer Science, or other background of similar relevance
- Fluent in English language (speaking and writing)
- Basic understanding and knowledge of business processes in the SAP Business Suite, including S/4 Hana
- SAP HANA and Cloud solutions knowledge and experience is beneficial
- SAP certifications can be considered a benefit
