Next Gen Concepts and Partnering is center point for innovations in and around the core of our Vestas Business. We develop the new radical solutions that enable the new WTG concepts to materialise from both a technical and commercial standpoint. We take solutions from the sketch on the napkin to commercial reality.

Responsibilities
- Be visionary and generate new ideas and concepts for next generation electrical power transmission system from the offshore WTG to the onshore substation
- Develop innovative transmission solutions and new technologies to enable more cost-efficient offshore wind farm electrical Balance of plant
- Develop innovative Transformer and Switchgear solutions to enable more cost-efficient offshore wind farm
- Perform conceptual transmission system design of large-scale offshore bottom fix and floating project
- Develop innovative transmission solutions for Long distance energy transport
- Coordinate and drive design tasks within the project design team and with global teams
- Cooperate with experts in other engineering disciplines
- Bridge technical assessment to commercial input
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of wind industry experience – preferably from offshore.
- Have worked closely with transmission systems and preferably have experience integrating renewables and complex grid connections
- Experience with electrical system design and Transformer and Switchgear products for Offshore turbines
- An understanding of relevant design codes and standards
