Manufacturing & Global Procurement Global Procurement Powertrain, Nacelles & Towers
Vestas Global Procurement is an award-winning best in class Procurement function within the World’s leading OEM for sustainable Energy Solutions. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including co-leading cross-functional Module teams, negotiations, Value creation initiatives, Module strategy development and implementation, Performance Metrics Monitoring and development, Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Account Management.
You will head the Nacelle team, where there are 18 colleagues responsible for sourcing
of the Vestas' global demand of Nacelle components, which predominantly consists of Steel, Casting and Cooling parts. We are part of a Global Procurement Department and the team is based in Denmark, China, India and Portugal. Together with your 3 Purchasing Managers, you will guide and propel a skilled team, where your effort and ability to create results makes a difference and has a direct business impact.

Responsibilities
- Be the people leader of a Procurement Department of 18 people, including organisational development & development of the individual
- Co-Lead a cross functional Module team together with your counterpart in R&D and develop and deploy a strategy that supports the overall Vestas strategy, encompassing the needs of all functions.
- Be a key part of the Powertrain, Nacelles & Towers Management team, and represent this towards internal and external Stakeholders
- Be an ambassador for Global Procurement towards internal stakeholders and external partners
- Be a procurement professional with an extensive toolbox and the desire and capabilities to expand this toolbox
Qualifications
- You have several years of experience with or related to procurement, including guiding cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and tasks of high complexity
- You have several years of leadership experience, developing culturally diverse teams in various positions
- You have a good theoretical background within Procurement, Engineering, Finance, Sales or similar
- You have extensive experience of budget and KPI/target ownership
- You are a leader who lives for developing your employees as well as the business, all at the same time
- You are a leader who sets visions for where you want to take the team as well as the business, who can create strategies to achieve these visions and the passion & right attitude to see them through

- You have personal aspiration and mindset to make things better
- You are open-minded and have an end-to-end value chain mind-set
- You are rational and possess solid communication skills
- You are a leader with significant people skills
