About the department

HR IT is part of Finance, Business Services & Cross IT (FBCIT) area within Global IT. We deliver innovative IT solutions to Global People & Organisation (GP&O) within Novo Nordisk. The strategic focus for HR IT is to drive digitalisation of HR services in close partnership with GP&O. HR IT is a global team that includes approx. 70 employees based in Denmark, India and the US. HR IT team members are placed closely to business for optimal collaboration and hands-on business support.

The HR IT team is adopting agile methodology to efficiently support GP&O’s digital journey. It is now preparing to launch the first Agile Release Train (ART) to continuously deliver business value.

The job

In the role, your primary responsibility is people leadership and you will be part of the HR IT ART leadership team, who manages deliveries of the ART consisting of 10+ Agile teams. You will also have a high degree of influence on GP&O results in terms of end user satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and costs.

The main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership while managing people and developing talent involving niche and critical areas
  • Overall responsible for department and IT systems budgets
  • Contribute towards creating the overall HR IT vision, yearly priorities and implementing them
  • Implementation and change management of strategic cross-organisational initiatives within the CVP area
  • Build and maintain trusting business relationship with internal and external stakeholders (EVP/SVP/CVP level)
  • Digitalisation of GP&O by strategic system and service portfolio management
  • Implementation of HR IT ART to continuously deliver business value to GP&O

You will set direction and deliver results with significant impact in a wide cross-functional and global reach within GP&O. You will also be proactive in identifying better practices and creating improvements in HR IT and GP&O.

You will report to the Vice President of HR IT and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

Qualifications

You are a very strong people manager with documented ability to create high sustainable engagement in high performing teams.

You have a Master's degree within relevant field and a proven track record with 5+ years’ experience in people management, IT system management and IT project management preferably within pharma or another regulated industry. Having educational background and/or experience within Human Resources will be an advantage.

You have experience in driving cross organisational initiatives and business processes across geographical and cultural boundaries. You also have strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage diverse stakeholders and ability to challenge and coach at management level. You are known for setting ambitious goals and your structured approach to deliver these.

Fluency in English (oral and written) is a prerequisite.
