About the department
The strategic focus for HR IT is to drive digitalisation of HR services in close partnership with Global HR. HR IT is a global team that includes approx. 70 employees based in Denmark, India and the US. HR IT is anchored within Global IT and team members are placed closely to HR teams for optimal collaboration and hands-on business support.
The HR IT team is adopting agile methodology to efficiently support HR’s digital journey and we are preparing to launch the first Agile Release Train (ART) in Novo Nordisk.
About the Job
The purpose of the HR IT Release Train Engineer (or RTE) is to act as servant leader and coach for the HR IT Agile Release Train, which we are about to launch.
The RTE facilitates Agile Release Train processes and execution and supports HR IT teams in delivering value to HR and the rest of the Novo Nordisk organisation. The HR IT RTE is a global role with plenty of opportunity to connect with internal and external stakeholders from all over the world. As this is a new role which will be implemented as part of launching the HR IT ART, you will have the opportunity to influence the role from the start.
Main responsibilities include driving, facilitating and executing PI planning and other agile activities such as preparation of Vision and Backlogs, system demos and retrospectives. You also establish and communicate annual events, for example, iterations and PIs.
As a servant leader you contribute to financial decision making, operate within ART budgets and manage the value flow throughout the programme.
Being part of the ART leadership team, you can resolve or escalate impediments, develop effective risk management processes and manage risk, and drive continuous improvement.
You have flair for and enjoy coaching ART members and leaders, and encourage collaboration between teams and System Engineers (Architects). Managing estimations and metrics, and monitoring alignment to roadmap and vision is also part of your skillset.
You will be part of preparing the launch of the first ART in Novo Nordisk, shaping the role and directly influence how HR IT will support Novo Nordisk HR’s globalisation and digitalisation journey. The roadmap for the coming years is highly ambitious and among other includes a global SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation, global ServiceNow implementation, and various automation initiatives, which you will help orchestrate together with the rest of the ART leadership team.
Qualifications
We are looking for an individual with an agile mindset, who is accomplished in driving, facilitating and executing agile methodologies and activities.
You are proficient in Agile and Lean methodologies including SCRUM, Kanban and SAFe, and enjoy training and coaching ART members accordingly. As a servant leader you are also experienced in change, risk and budget management.
Furthermore, you are disciplined, have excellent English skills (spoken and written) and can collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You easily navigate between changing initiatives and activities within and outside of HRIT.
Requirements include a Master’s degree, IT management experience, and a SAFe Release Train Engineer certification.
