About the department
Data Analytics was established in 2017 with a focus on real world data (RWD) and advanced analytics. In Data Analytics, we analyse many different data sources to generate evidence to support clinical drug development projects and launched products. You will be joining a team of highly professional, engaged and motivated data scientists.
The department of Data Analytics is part of Data Science in Global Development and located in Søborg, Denmark. In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product launch. We provide medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to global standards, regulations and business ethics.
The position
Novo Nordisk is consolidating our access to RWD in Global Development. You will be our first Principal Data Steward to lead, build and develop our RWD strategy including the identification, quality assessment, licensing and documentation of relevant sources of RWD in a cross functional collaboration between several internal stakeholders in Novo Nordisk.
You will be responsible for maintaining an updated catalogue of potentially relevant data sources as well as assessing the potential and quality of data per request from internal stakeholders. Your duties will be diverse and will include driving the collection of stakeholder input on data needs and being responsible for data licensing, access and internal training.
Qualifications
You have a master’s degree in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Life sciences or equivalent and preferably a PhD degree in a field relevant for the position. In addition, you have several years of experience from the pharmaceutical, medical or biological area, with managing, licensing and contracting RWD. Operational experience and strategy development will be an advantage and experience with project management and contract management is preferred.
You have experience assessing the quality of RWD and understand the potential use of RWD in drug development, regulatory filings and price negotiations. You know how to manage several stakeholders (internal and external) and enjoy working in a dynamic cross-functional environment.
We emphasise accountability and reaching goals through a collaborative effort, thus it is essential that you are able to use your good interpersonal and communication skills to achieve results together with others. You enjoy responsibility and complete your assignments proactively and within timelines. Finally, you are able to communicate fluently in English, both in speech and writing.
