Purpose of the role: Ensure business development strategies for Key Client ad Runway (KCR) customers are in place to land and implement the new business required to deliver CL strategic growth ambitions.
As a leader, you will have a variety of responsibilities, which includes, but are not limited to, following areas:
Drive long term CL Key client development strategy
• Own development of unique end to end solution concepts for strategic customers by teaming up with product owners across Maersk
• Own and orchestrate business development initiatives for strategic customers, including target accounts, alignment on strategic opportunities, identification of growth potential and focus
• Responsible to engage with Global Key Client and Runway managers (KCRM) to co-develop customer’s roadmap to expand horizontal and vertical product growth
• Responsible to leverage market and customer insights to facilitate and drive KCR busines development at Global and Regional level
Own CL commercialization to support growth
• Responsible engage with KCRMs and vertical heads to enable sales-product capabilities, ensure business development strategy adoption and build product specific knowledge and expertise
• Responsible to conduct customer discovery or business development workshops (consultative selling approach)
Ensure sufficient market and customer insights to confirm product roadmaps and support targeting or pursuits to increase win-rate
• Own and drive appropriate initiatives to collect required market and customer insights to shape solution development, commercial strategies, or tactics to respond to specific pursuits in collaboration with KCRMs
Partnership
• Partner with product owners across Maersk L&S and Ocean teams to build and design end to end solutions
• Partner with Supply Chain Development Team in strategic client workshops and discussions pertaining to Contract Logistics and create actionable commercial plans for BPOs
• Partner with KCRMs, vertical heads and customers to shape solution development, commercial strategies or tactics to respond to specific pursuits
• Partner with Head of Network Strategy for Contract Logistics to create actionable commercial plans based on Strategic road map of KCRMs
• Partner with Head of Commercial Management to create actionable commercial plans based on expected future global performance and drive implementation of these.

Who we are looking for:
• A talent who has significant experience of thinking out of the box and developing unique end to end supply chain solutions for customers
• Senior managerial experience (+10 years) in Supply Chain industry, preferably in Contract Logistics
• Highly analytical and consultative selling experienced in assessing customer needs; and building business development strategic plans focused on growth
• Significant experience in commercial management and client facing roles in logistics industry
• Proven track record in a matrix, multi-cultural organization, building strong relationships and networks both locally and internationally
• Leadership experience within complex time critical projects
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to co-ordinate globally across teams, facilitate workshops
• A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player with a collaborative mindset
• Self-motivated, who can complete tasks without supervision and who can evaluate and manage risks appropriately
Technical skillset:
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Management (good to have)
• Sound understanding of market and customer insights, econometrics, scenario simulation, supply chain assessments (e.g. network, inventory)
• Proficient in Microsoft tools (Excel, word, etc.), network modeling and simulation tools
• Proficient in data mining and data querying using an array of tools/platforms such as SQL, Python, R
