Our current program manager is leaving for maternity leave, and we are looking for her replacement for at least 15 months (from 1st of March 2022).

When we say we, we actually mean we. We are 3 Heads of Marine People, responsible for each our region and we all work together with you. You will have a formal reporting line to one of us, but you should expect to equally connect and engage with all of us. This also means that majority of your work is always globally focused. We will be honest, its not always easy dealing with 3 individual leaders who all seem to be opinionated – but trust us, we all want the same thing: To make a difference for our seafarers and equip our Marine People Advisors to do exactly that.

Despite us sometimes (and only sometimes) being difficult, we mostly are a fun and engaged bunch of people with a ton of ideas and we very much welcome your ideas to the pot.

Key responsibilities


A work-day for you could look like:

- Start out with the weekly Marine People Call. You have prepared the agenda for this call and steer us firmly through it for 2 hours. A lot of decisions are on the agenda this day, but it’s not normally like that, often we also discuss operational matters.

- After the call you recap and review the actions. As a clear part of our team, often you will take lead on executing some of the decisions. The first action you take is setting up for the workshop and reference group we decided to have with seafarers in two weeks’ time.

- After a coffee chat with one of your colleagues, you call-in for your next meeting. It is a catch-up with the Manager of one of the Marine People Teams in Philippines. Last month you launched a new initiative, and you will be discussing how the team is taking on the new tool. They loved it, that’s great. Now you can roll it out to the other locations. You take a note, that you need to add this to the agenda next week: Roll-out to the other locations.

- You move on to lunch. Its Wednesday and thus cake-day in the canteen. Yes!

- You then listen in on some of the sign-off talks the Marine People Advisors have with our seafarers. It is a good way to identify the topics that matters most to our seafarers and how we best equip our Marine People Advisors.

- You end the day with administrative tasks. Emails that need to be send to all advisors; meetings that need to be booked etc.

As you will be working with all of us, you will spend a lot of your time on teams-calls. You’ll be co-located with one of us and engage with your colleagues at the office. For now the idea is that position should be based out of Copenhagen, but if you located somewhere else, let us have an open discussion about it.

We are looking for


By experience, to be successful in this role it will be an advantage if:

- You are used to driving projects independently. As a starting point we trust you make good decisions and thus you should run with it.

- You like to work with many different colleagues. You are a lucky potato and will get to engage with colleagues from India, Philippines, Copenhagen, Romania and then we are not even covering the nationalities of all our seagoing colleagues you will also interact with.

- Structure is in your DNA. We will be transparent, if structure is not what you enjoy, you will never enjoy this role. We need structure and we need you to bring it even more than we do.

- You always work with data when you make your decisions. You need to be able to synthesize and gather data (qualitative and quantitative) and used that, for decision making.

In this role it is key that you have an excellent level of English in speaking and writing.
