Key responsibilities
At Maersk, we have a strong track record and high ambitions of leadership on ESG (Environment, Social, Governance). Our strategic objective is to ensure that our targets and performance within our prioritized ESG areas are aligned with science, and recognized and valued by capital markets, customers, regulators, thought leaders, and other key stakeholders.
As ESG Manager, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in the Corporate Sustainability & ESG team, Finance, and key business functions on the following core objectives:
- Developing and expanding ESG reporting as part of our Annual and Sustainability Reports. This will include work on the EU taxonomy, SASB, TCFD, and preparing for reporting according to the upcoming international and European sustainability reporting standards (ISSB and ESRS)
- Ensuring high-quality submissions and engagement with prioritized ESG ratings and frameworks (incl. S&P Dow Jones CSA, EcoVadis, Climate Action 100+, CDP, MSCI, UN Global Compact COP)
- Collaborating internally with ESG category owners and Accounting to review and develop ESG KPIs and end-to-end reporting processes
- Supporting integration of ESG into governance and decision-making processes
- Supporting investor and capital market engagement on ESG.
Who we are looking for?
The ideal candidate is a business oriented ESG/sustainability professional with a Master’s degree in a relevant field (business/finance/sustainability), and ideally min. 3 years’ experience in a corporate, investor, or consulting setting.
It will be an advantage to have hands-on experience with sustainability/ESG reporting and knowledge of key standards, ratings, and frameworks.
On a personal level, you have a strong drive, an analytical approach and good coordination skills, with the ability to keep oversight as well as track of details. You can deliver results and clearly communicate them, build strong relationships with stakeholders across a global organisation, and not least you are a team player with a sense of humour.
Your written and spoken English is impeccable. Knowledge of Danish and/or additional languages would be an advantage, but not a requirement.
