We are looking for a Global Head of Talent Attraction and Acquisition to lead the sourcing and recruitment delivery for Contract Logistics in Maersk. The business is under a high-speed growth environment, where we expect huge volume growth year on year. This position is newly being created as a global function reporting into the Head of TAA.

The role is preferably based in Europe or North America but there is flexibility to other locations in which we have big warehousing presents as long as you have a possibility to work with the different time zones globally and to travel on a regular basis (at least once a quarter).

We are newly creating this functional delivery team. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of this function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Based on the annual recruitment forecast, define, together with the People Business Partners and COE, the region Annual Recruitment Strategy and Action Plan to fulfil the business needs in a fast growth environment with thousands of search processes per year

  • Design the internal team set up and recruit the majority of people of the internal teams. Drive a team of Talent Acquisition Managers organized around geographies.

  • Define, decide and implement the appropriate recruitment sourcing delivery strategy

  • Design the TAA delivery process for contract logistics together with the process manager of TAA, centered around speed, quality, diversity and candidate experience including set up of the right delivery channels

  • Define, together with the CoE and the regional TAA Heads, an attractive Employer Branding Proposition and Talent Attraction Strategy to attract the best talent on the market by consistently driving and delivering high quality recruitment services and providing great candidate experience.

  • Define with the People Business Partners and the Data Management Team the specific Contract Logistics recruiting metrics to ensure the business leaders and hiring managers have continues accurate feedback on the recruitment processes progress, and the required information to assess the efficiency of the recruitment processes and targets achievement.

  • Lead the delivery of Talent Attraction and Acquisition towards business leaders, employees and people partners (JL1-6 positions) maximizing the candidate and hiring manager experience.

  • Ensure solid onboarding of recent business acquisitions (Performance Team, Senator, and LF Logistics when closed) from a business perspective as well as an internal TAA perspective

  • Partner with Regional GRT and other external recruitment vendors to ensure smooth and consistent delivery across teams, ensuring continuous communication, collaboration, and regular vendors performance assessment.

  • Monitor objectives and ensures steps are taken where delivery does not live up to expectation.

  • Participates on the implementation of the Talent CoE initiatives and projects as required.

  • Safeguard and ensure COE policies and guidelines are followed by all parties involved on the recruitment process.

  • Be an involved member of the Global TAA leadership team and work as one global team

The required experience ideally includes:

  • Experience with building up a TAA team and delivery model from scratch

  • Experience leading the Talent Attraction and Acquisition Function in a multinational company with diversified fast growth business and high-volume recruitment preferable from the Logistics and Distribution Industry or transferable industries.

  • Leading an in-house recruitment team combined with an RPO/Global Agency set up

  • Proactive recruitment experience (i.e., strategic talent pools, strategic forecasting…)

  • Demonstrated experience navigating in a complex stakeholder matrix and to foster long-term relationships with internal stakeholders and candidates.

  • Takes calls based on data (forecasting, KPIs, performance assessment...)

  • English language proficiency
