This role will allow you to visibly impact financial reporting in A.P. Moller Maersk by developing, adapting and implementing accounting policies and guidelines across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
You will provide groupwide lead, support and guidance on accounting principles, external financial reporting and audits.
Key tasks:
- Interpretation and development of group accounting principles according to IFRS
- Conduct IFRS training to group
- Participate in quarterly and annual external financial reporting
- Contact point for accounting considerations regarding unusual transactions/events
- Support M&A transactions with accounting advice, purchase price allocation, and audit
- Onsite control visits
- Promotes good accounting practice across the group
- Participate in audits
- Participate in financial controlling of consolidated accounts
Who we are looking for
The preferred candidate will hold a relevant academic degree in finance, e.g., being a Certified Public Accountant or having a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or auditing (e.g. cand.merc.aud. or equivalent).
It is expected that the candidate has more than 4 years of applicable experience with financial controlling, financial reporting, IFRS and/or as an auditor of large/medium-sized companies.
You are an ambitious, goal-oriented problem solver. You take ownership of your assignments and independently achieve results. You put theory into practice and possess strong analytical skills that enable you to make sound and reliable assessments in accounting matters.
You are not afraid of challenging the existing processes and strive for improvement through knowledge sharing. In addition, you produce high quality results with attention to detail without losing the overall perspective, even in a sometimes-hectic environment.
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
