Reporting line directly to the Head of Mainliner Operations and the Head of Feeder Operations (two similar jobs, in two different teams).

Your main responsibility as a String manager is to optimise your services through a strong focus on delivering a great experience and product to our customers and ensure that we continuously improve the cost of operating.
Key tasks:
• Ensure that we deliver the product we have sold to our customers
• String and network ownership pursuing best possible utilisation of our assets
• Data driven Planning, Decision making and Communication for vessels and cargo
• Engage and communicate closely with a multitude of stakeholder inside the organisation, as well as external stakeholders.
• Drive out cost and waste in our operating model through systematic work with data and processes
• Highlight opportunities and challenges to clusters, line management and external stakeholders, including vessels and terminals, driving decisions and contingencies on your string
• Review the performance of your string, suggesting improvements for the customer offering and the overall cost.
You will ideally be a graduate with minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the industry, with a driven personality, analytical skills and a fast learner.
Operational experience is welcomed, but not a must.
You:
• Are able to work autonomously and take calculated and independent decisions under high-pressure scenarios.
Work comfortably with data and want to be part of shaping the new way of working.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment and deliver results.
• Understand network thinking and have a holistic approach to problem solving.
• Are a resilient team-player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment and ownership and thrive in an international environment.
Flexible working hours (bank holidays and weekend coverage roaster)
