Global Associate Director to optimise the commercial opportunities with the largest brand in Novo Nordisk
Do you want to be a part of the Diabetes Commercial Unit, working with Victoza® - the largest brand in Novo Nordisk - with the ambition to transform the treatment of type 2 diabetes?
The Life Cycle Management (LCM) plan for Victoza® has continuously supported the growth and the development of the GLP-1 class. We are looking for a Global Associate Director to further develop the strategy and support the optimization of how we maximise profit for Novo Nordisk within GLP-1 in the transition from Victoza® to Ozempic® and Rybelsus®.
About the department
The Victoza® brand team is part of the Diabetes Commercial Unit. Victoza® currently treats 1.2 million people around the globe, sales in 2018 was 24.3 bDKK and we have a total of 6.9 million patient years of treatment in the heritage. In this role you are reporting to the VP Global Marketing Ozempic & Victoza, who oversees both the commercial and product development strategies. The Unit is part of the EVP area, Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs (CSCA).
The Victoza® brand team is responsible for leading the brand strategy and promotional deliverables, with specific focus on maximizing the commercial potential in markets with untapped GLP-1 potential not yet launching Ozempic® and Rybelsus® (focusing on China, India and other selected growth markets). Special focus is on building attractive options for out of pocket markets. This is done by working closely with regions, affiliates and cross-functional stakeholders.
The position
Your primary responsibility is to maximize the value of the Victoza®. You will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a compelling short to mid-term commercial strategy to drive the global performance for Victoza®. You will ensure execution of the strategy and secure alignment across the organization. You will engage with regions and key markets (primarily China, India and other selected growth markets) as well as functions across Novo Nordisk.
This position is also responsible to create diabetes strategic pilot Innovation Projects in close collaboration with the Global Marketing team, regions and countries, assess their success and upscale across the DCU, when successful.
Qualifications
We imagine that you are an expert with commercialization of pharmaceutical/healthcare products and have solid experience from commercial roles within the industry. Throughout your career you have had a commercial operational role in an affiliate or experience from regional or global position level with focus on strategy and maximizing product life cycle in a portfolio setting.
You are known to have impact and your primary driver is to make a difference in the market. You see opportunities, and you are eager to execute on your ideas. Furthermore, you are an excellent communicator to all levels in the organisation as demonstrated by gaining buy-in in cross-functional teams.
You have a relevant academic degree, and you are fluent in written and spoken English.
