Then you may be our new Senior Statistician to join us in our office near Copenhagen (Søborg) or Aalborg.
About the department
The Biostatistics function currently consists of approximately 250 statisticians and statistical programmers globally. Of these, 170 are situated in Denmark, where we are organised in departments supporting our development projects (e.g. GLP-1, Insulin, Haemophilia or Obesity). The Biostatistics function consists of statisticians and statistical programmers in roughly equal split.
Novo Nordisk has a broad R&D pipeline and majority of our statistical work is done in-house, thus we offer a wide variety of statistical challenges and provide a strong scientific community. We are organised in smaller units for each clinical project to ensure close collaboration with our various stakeholders.
The position
As Senior Statistician you will be responsible for giving input to protocols and statistical analyses, interpretation of trial results and handle day-to-day statistical issues. Other activities include participation in regulatory submissions and support publications with post hoc analyses. You will be involved in presentation and discussion of results and act as contact to external collaborators. Furthermore, you will be engaged in coordinating and supervising the work of consultants around the world performing outsourced statistical tasks.
We expect you to be able to pinpoint and communicate statistical challenges clearly to both statistical colleagues as well as stakeholders from other functional areas.
Development of methods and processes as well as knowledge sharing is continuously on-going in Novo Nordisk, especially based on the initiative of the employees. We expect you to take part in our dedicated efforts to make Biostatistics, globally, a good and challenging place to work.

Qualifications
You have a solid theoretical background in statistics corresponding to at least MSc level and at least three years of experience within clinical or bio-statistical research.
You will handle many assignments concurrently and will collaborate with other statisticians, statistical programmers and many other skill types so we expect you to work independently, be proactive, flexible and efficient. You have a great sense of perspective and a positive attitude also when things are moving fast. Experience with project management is an advantage. Good collaboration and communication skills as well as fluency in English are mandatory.
