Vice President, Global Regulatory Affairs, Rare DiseaseExpanding our rare disease portfolio is a key strategic initiative at Novo Nordisk - do you want to be part of driving it? In this unique opportunity, you will head up Global Regulatory Affairs for our Rare Disease business area to deliver best-in-class regulatory strategies and support the organisation to optimise our efforts within rare bleeding disorders, rare blood disorders and rare endocrine disorders.About the departmentGRA Rare Disease is part of Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA). GRA is accountable for regulatory licenses for current and future products responsive to the worldwide business needs of Novo Nordisk. GRA is a headquarter function located in Copenhagen (Denmark) and Bangalore (India) and we work in close collaboration with regulatory colleagues in the affiliates. The GRA Rare Disease area consists of approximately 60 colleagues with two teams based in Copenhagen (Denmark) and two teams based in Bangalore (India).The positionYou will head up the GRA Rare Disease area within Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) reporting directly to the Corporate Vice President of GRA. You will be responsible for driving the development and execution of Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) strategies within rare bleeding disorders, rare blood disorders and rare endocrine disorders.You will be accountable for robust strategies for obtaining approval of clinical trials and marketing authorisations for new products with competitive labels, as well as maintaining and updating marketing authorisations with focus on maximising the rare disease pipeline value. As part of heading up the GRA Rare Disease area, you will set direction, supervise and develop Global Regulatory Leads and teams with first class RA competencies and ensure that high regulatory science standards are observed throughout the assigned portfolio.You will be a member of the GRA leadership team and will also join our Rare Disease senior leadership team headed up by the Executive Vice President of Rare Disease.The position is based at Novo Nordisk's Site in Søborg, DenmarkQualificationsYou bring significant experience within Regulatory Affairs with over 10 years’ experience as a leader in the global pharmaceutical industry. You possess a track record of developing and executing RA strategies, ideally within rare diseases.As a candidate, you may currently hold a position as a global strategic regulatory affairs leader in a large pharmaceutical company, a head of regulatory affairs in a global biotech company with prior experience in big pharma, or a senior role at a regulatory health authority. You have a track record of effectively managing key stakeholders such as senior R&D management, production, commercial, affiliates, and executive management, along with experience managing negotiations with health authorities like the FDA and EMA.You have a strong interest in developing people and teams with a track record of building high performing teams. You have exceptional communication skills and are known as a leader who exceeds in driving change and innovation. You possess a driven and ambitious personality, with an enterprise leadership mindset.
