The position As an Associate Director in Study Programmes, Global Medical Affairs, you will lead a team of currently +10 project managers on various levels responsible for the “Scientific Recruitment & Retention programs”, supporting a portfolio of clinical trials of strategic importance for Novo Nordisk across different disease areas. You will report to the Senior Global Director and be an integrated part of a leadership team of four leaders. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, ensuring alignment with stakeholders, and motivating your team to achieve their goals. You are expected to be results-driven, strategic, and have a strong desire to be a driving force in how we engage with internal stakeholders as well as external experts, as part of clinical trials and the broader medical community worldwide.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, we anticipate that you have a Master's degree in an industry-relevant field , a proven track record of building high performing and motivated teams and managing larger projects over extended periods of time, preferably in a highly regulated environment.
In addition to the above, you also need:
• Strong leadership, strategic and analytical skills
• Experience in working as part of a leadership team, as well as engaging/collaborating with senior stakeholders
• High interest and focus on growth, as well as high sense of responsibility to develop yourself and team members
• Proficiency in stakeholder management, with the ability to collaborate and negotiate with diverse partners at all levels of the organization
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging and aligning with both team and collaborators
• 8+ years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English. Additionally, you are curious and passionate about improvement, and you continually identify opportunities to develop your area and deliverables. You are motivated by ambitious targets. As a person, you are ambitious, flexible and have a strong drive for taking initiative and working both as a dedicated team player as well as independently. You will have the opportunity to work very closely with stakeholders from Global Medical Affairs, Medical & Science and Clinical Operations in HQ as well as colleagues in our affiliate offices. The position is based in the HQ office in Søborg, Denmark. Approximately 10-20 travel days a year should be expected. About the department
Global Medical Affairs is responsible for driving the scientific dialogue with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Health Care Professionals (HCPs). We are part of the R&D organization in Novo Nordisk, one of the world’s most successful pharmaceutical companies and the market leader within diabetes care and obesity and exciting development programs in other serious chronic diseases.
