The Position As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Global Policy Specialist, your key responsibilities are to:
  • Identify and lead regulatory global activities and advocacy tasks to achieve agreed goals, solving unique and complex problems that impact the Novo Nordisk regulatory affairs pipeline.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external stakeholders, representing Novo Nordisk in external policy fora and industry association committees.
  • Strengthen affiliate capabilities within regulatory advocacy and promote coordination and best practice sharing across regions.
  • Furthermore, your main tasks are:
  • Within pre-agreed priority focus areas: Communicate new regulatory requirements, guidelines and trends to relevant product/development project teams/regions/management teams. Foresee and address complex issues of high importance to the broader NN organisation and the business. This includes driving the analysis and putting into context the impact of new regulatory trends and requirements on Novo Nordisk business and regulatory strategies.
  • Anticipate internal and external business challenges and issues; and recommend and implement process updates and/or external strategy with a view to solving unique and complex problems that have impact on the NN business.
  • Lead and manage regulatory global activities and advocacy tasks to reach agreed goals.
  • Build external networks, and when relevant initiate external alliances and other relevant initiatives, to achieve goals within intelligence and policy workstreams.
  • Represent Novo Nordisk in relevant industry associations while ensuring that joint external positions and messaging align with NN priorities.
  • Present at external workshops, conferences and meetings including with regulators and academia, etc.
  • Facilitate and support allocation of speakers and trainers for internal/external events/meetings.
  • Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A relevant post-graduate degree, such as MSc or PhD, in pharma, science, healthcare, public health, policy, or law.
  • 8-12 years of experience in a health authority or the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a senior regulatory affairs position.
  • Proven ability to develop robust and successful regulatory policy positions and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain.
  • About the Department Global Regulatory Affairs Policy & Intelligence ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and influences external regulatory frameworks. We support Novo Nordisk’s product development and life cycle management strategies, promoting overall regulatory excellence both internally and externally. Our team is a hybrid, with members based in Søborg, Istanbul, Bangalore, Tianjin, and Washington DC. We combine scientific insight with the ability to navigate external agendas and stakeholders.
