Coloplast has just announced a new corporate strategy STRIVE25 and two themes are at the heart of the strategy: Innovation and Growth.
Coloplast must reach significant growth requirements every year during the coming strategy period and looking beyond 2025 the requirements continue to grow. With increasing demands to clinical/medical and access agendas in the industry, we need to bring products to market that are proven to be clinically differentiated in order to succeed. The only way to sustain above market growth over time is through innovation.
We have therefore created a new corporate function called Innovation with the end-to-end responsibility for defining, developing & delivering the commercial offerings for Coloplast Chronic Care business. An organization with 600+ people full of energy, passion, and innovation capabilities.
As part of this new change, we are looking for a new Vice President for our innovation Project Management organization to drive and lead all of our Innovation projects from start to finish. The Vice President of Project Management reports directly to Nicolai Buhl Andersen, our EVP of Innovation, and becomes a key member of the Innovation Leadership team.
Taking on the challenge
The Innovation Project Management team is responsible and accountable for leading all Innovation projects to market launch according to the defined project target product profile and financial corner-flags. The Organization consists of 40 highly competent and engaged employees driving all key cross functional innovation projects across the innovation organization. Stakeholder management and relationship building inside and outside of the Innovation organization is key to support the seamless execution of innovation projects.

Leading the Innovation Project Management Department you will create and continuously develop a motivated and engaged Project Management team. You will manage and ensure launch fulfillment of innovation projects in accordance with the launch plans and roadmaps for Ostomy Care, Continence Care, and Wound & Skin Care.

We believe the right person for this challenge has multi-disciplinary international experience from consulting, the Life Sciences industry or comparable Technology within relevant areas such as development, marketing, regulatory, QA or production. It is essential to have an extensive business understanding and knowledge within the product lifecycle value chain, preferably from multiple companies.
You will demonstrate excellence in leading others, have a constant improvement mindset and a holistic business understanding making you capable of being decisive and challenging both individually as well as part of a team.
You have in depth knowledge across the whole process of developing products from the concept phase through to development, regulatory approval, production, and launch.

- Ensure that all innovation projects fulfil all requirements to be ready for market launch
- Secure all projects are staffed according to expectations and ambition levels – across the entire value chain
- Mobilize and grow individual employees developing their professional and personal skills
Excellence in leading others & projects
We believe the right person for this challenge has multi-disciplinary international experience from consulting, the Life Sciences industry or comparable Technology within relevant areas such as development, marketing, regulatory, QA or production. It is essential to have an extensive business understanding and knowledge within the product lifecycle value chain, preferably from multiple companies.

- In depth knowledge within the medical device industry including quality and regulatory requirements
- Energetic with an ability to simplify complex issues and drive things forward with agility and pragmatism
- Experienced presenter with senior management
- Extensive project management experience from large projects
- Broad external experience e.g. from external partnerships
