(Senior) Clinical Pharmacology Specialist for Medical & Science

The position
As Clinical Pharmacology Specialist, you will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacology trials, and further developing the clinical pharmacology strategy for CagriSema in several indications.
Your responsibilities will include:
Qualifications
You have a M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, preferably complemented by a Ph.D, or, extensive experience within drug or medical device development.

About the department
To accelerate and expand the promising novel therapy CagriSema, a dedicated area has been established as part of Clinical Drug Development located in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark. In Medical & Science, we are medically responsible for the clinical development program. Our responsibilities include planning and execution of clinical trials (phases 1-4) and non-interventional studies, medical and scientific support to health authority interactions, publications, early research activities, presentations, and more. The current M&S departments consist of 9 medical doctors and 1 clinical pharmacologist, and we are expected to grow.
Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role in the development of new drugs at Novo Nordisk – driving the process of getting new medicine out to our patients from early phase to late and post-approval phases of drug development. Clinical pharmacology provides the data for an understanding of the absorption and metabolism of drugs, as well as the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that affect these, and for an understanding of the pharmacodynamics and mechanisms of action.

The position
As Clinical Pharmacology Specialist, you will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacology trials, and further developing the clinical pharmacology strategy for CagriSema in several indications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Scientific responsibility of trial protocols, contact to investigator, and interpretation of trial results.
- Representing clinical pharmacology in interactions with Health Authorities.
- Providing clinical pharmacology input to secure approval of new drugs.
- Driving and coordinating scientific input in the Novo Nordisk headquarters’ clinical trial group.
- Collaborating with affiliates in different countries and external partners involved in the management of the clinical trials.
- Interacting with many other internal and external global stakeholders.
- Leading cross-functional project teams and represent Clinical Pharmacology in global project teams.
Qualifications
You have a M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, preferably complemented by a Ph.D, or, extensive experience within drug or medical device development.

- A strong scientific mindset combined experience with clinical drug development and/or clinical research.
- Experience with Health Authority interactions.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams in a global and dynamic environment.
