The position

As Clinical Pharmacology Specialist, you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for planning and conduct of clinical pharmacology trials.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Clinical pharmacology trial designs as well as interpretation and communication of trial results
  • Involvement in preparation of trial protocols and other clinical trial documentation while staying in touch with trial investigators
  • Drive and coordinate activities in the Novo Nordisk headquarters clinical study management group
  • Collaborate with affiliates in different countries and external partners involved in the management of the clinical trials
  • Interact with many other internal and external global stakeholders

Furthermore, you will represent Clinical Pharmacology within the Global Project Team to advocate and execute the clinical pharmacology developmental strategy.

Qualifications

You have a Master´s or Ph.D. degree within Life Sciences, such as Pharmacy, Biochemistry or related discipline with 2+ years’ of experience in the industry.

In addition to this, you have:

  • Expert knowledge within Clinical Pharmacology and experience with health authority interactions
  • A strong scientific mindset combined with experience in planning and conducting clinical trials
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and project management skills
  • Understanding of drug development
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams

You thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong quality mindset. You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English. You are dedicated, employ an open-minded approach, enjoy working in a dynamic environment, and thrive whilst collaborating with colleagues in our cross-functional project teams.

About the department

Our Clinical Pharmacology department is responsible for development projects within diabetes. We are a department of dedicated and highly engaged colleagues working in a flexible, collaborative, and cross-functional setting.

Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role in the development of new drugs at Novo Nordisk. We work as an integrated part of development and research project teams, being responsible for the clinical pharmacology strategy. We are operationally and scientifically responsible for the planning and execution of clinical pharmacology trials. We provide clinical pharmacology expertise across all phases of clinical development, and to health authority interactions and regulatory submissions worldwide.
