The Position We are seeking a Statistical Specialist to join our team and take on a challenging role in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a Statistical Specialist, you will primarily work on clinical trials, providing statistical input to the design of these, interpreting results, and ensuring documentation is up to date. The responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure relevant standardization within designated projects on statistical activities
  • Drive various working groups where statistical expertise is required.
  • Provide statistical input to regulatory documents, developing statistical methodologies
  • Represent designated projects within the therapeutic area regarding statistics in meetings and inspections with regulatory authorities
  • Interactions and alignment with stakeholders such as medical doctors, safety surveillance advisors, regulatory colleagues, and medical writers are key throughout all activities
  • Qualifications We are seeking an ideal candidate who possesses the following qualifications:
  • Strong background in statistics corresponding to MSc or PhD (or equivalent area).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical or biostatistical research.
  • Act as driver and leading member of the project teams you are part of.
  • Independently and proactively set directions.
  • Open-minded, curious, and solution oriented
  • Additionally, experience in the following areas would be considered a strong advantage:
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical company.
  • Project management and supervision of colleagues.
  • Working with R, SAS or other programming languages.
  • To succeed in this role, you should have expertise in core statistical deliverables and be a skilled communicator who enjoys collaborating with colleagues. You should also possess excellent project management skills. About the department The Biostatistics department is a key part of our Data Science organization and comprises around 400 statisticians and statistical programmers globally, with the majority located in Denmark and India, and smaller teams in Spain, China, Japan, UK and US. Our Biostatistics team is organized into smaller units within clinical therapeutic areas to ensure close collaboration with various stakeholders. This open position is within the therapeutic area Diabetes where we are about 100 colleagues working within biostatistics. In our organization, we primarily perform scientific and programming work in-house, providing a diverse range of tasks and challenges and a strong scientific community.
