We seek an outstanding candidate for a 3 position as assistant professor at the Center for Quantum Devices, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. The position is open from 1 September 2020 or upon agreement.
The successful candidate is expected to establish collaborations with the experimental and theoretical activities in the center. The current research areas are topological quantum systems, spin qubits, quantum transport, and material science of hybrid superconductor-semiconductor systems.
At the center, a new activity funded by an ERC Synergy grant is devoted to developing the physics and phenomenology of nonabelian systems, in particular systems with Majorana bound states, and candidates with theoretical expertise in this area are preferred.
The assistant professor’s duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication and research-based teaching with associated examination obligations within condensed matter physics. To a limited extent this may also include performance of other duties.

The starting salary is currently up to DKK 437.843 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 74.871). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
