Join E-commerce Logistics, one of the newest teams at Maersk, aimed at solving how brands handle e-commerce logistics from factory to sofa. As the Senior UX/UI designer, you will be developing the customer experience across the E-commerce Logistics platform with a team of two other designers and a senior product owner.

Maersk is organized in platforms and E-commerce Logistics is a newly started platform on the foundation of three acquisitions in 2021. The platform is in its infancy, which means you’ll be able to evaluate existing experiences, help explore what to keep and kill and how to build on top of those to create best-in-class digital products for e-commerce logistics. The role is senior – job level 4 of 9 in total – and it is expected that you can handle working with multiple teams of engineers and across multiple application.
This role is inherently cross-functional, and you will work closely with other teams at Maersk to deliver on our value proposition - for instance the teams owning maersk.com. You will explore hypotheses, ideas and concepts through user research, competitor analysis, and prototyping to inform your design rationale. You will test your prototypes on stakeholders and customers. And you will carry out end to end UX/UI design, including user journeys, flow charts, wireframes, interaction design, and visual assets.
A successful candidate will be highly collaborative, able to work effectively with many stakeholders, and an expert at creating simple products that deliver what they promise.
Key responsibilities
- Drive UX and UI design for a series of e-commerce logistics applications in collaboration with product owners
- Work with several distributed engineering teams on delivering stellar experiences
- Work closely with the product owners to deliver the right product
- Work with the technology stakeholders to understand constraints early
- Build prototypes to share and test concepts with stakeholders and customers
- Incorporate and recommend ways to extend Maersk's Design System
- Give and solicit feedback from other UXers to continually raise our bar
We are looking for
- Professional hands-on design experience working with complex platforms / ecosystems
- Demonstrated strategic product thinking and vision
- Expert in application of user-centered design methods and principles
- Detail-oriented, comfortable working on technical teams, skilled in using data to make decisions and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to strongly articulate your design work and rationale to your peers and cross-functional team
- Desire to work in a new team, where there are more questions than answers
- Ability to work across time zones and cultures in North America, Europe and Asia
This is a global role and you can be located in North America (Utah is preferred ) or Europe (Denmark, The Netherlands, Spain or Portugal is preferred).
