As part of the vision to become the global integrator of container logistics Maersk has established the HR of the Future Program to transform its HR services.
The goal is for HR to become a truly global function delivering great employee experience across all brands, geographies and employee segments of Maersk.
To achieve this, we are remodeling our HR Service Delivery Organization and upgrading our HR Technology through implementation of Workday and ServiceNow.
HR of the Future program is one of the key priorities for Maersk HR for 2021. It directly links to overall company strategy of One Maersk as it will transform current Maersk HR organization from brand specific setup to a brand agnostic way of delivering HR with world class technology and standardized processes.
The program is now into wave 2 where 127 countries are being implemented to go live with new HR organisation, standardized HR processes and new technology.
Key responsibilities
PMO as a function supports below main activities and consists of 4 experienced and energetic PMO colleagues
Key responsibilities of this position are listed below but are not limited to:
· Accountable for end to end project plan, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and timelines
· Design structure to manage dependencies across multiple workstreams and execute it with input from workstream leads.
· Proactively work on risks with the workstream leads to find mitigation actions especially ones involving cross workstream discussions require larger PMO involvement.
· Ensuring all workstreams across the whole program deliver as per plan, raise risks and follow up on those to have leading indicators to keep program on track, within budget and deliver on promised scope.
· Plan, prepare, implement and follow up on Governance structure
All tasks need to be executed with clear structure, follow up and communication especially due to the size and complexity of the program.
PMO function operates together as a team and colleagues act as each other’s backups and show flexibility in task assignments.
PMO team’s overall responsibility is to ensure that program team has robust governance and enable the team to manage strict deadlines through follow ups, communication and visibility.
The role is demanding in a fast pace program and spans across a large stakeholder map. Understanding the context and structure of the program and be able to influence without authority to make fast paced decisions, is key to success in this role.
We are looking for
To be successful in the PMO Project manager role we believe the following skills are needed:
- Experience as Project Manager or PMO with high focus on execution
- Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
- 5-7 years in project roles and experience in medium to large sized projects
- Experience working with remote teams and large stakeholder matrix
- Self-driven, and thrive in complex stakeholder landscapes
- Team player, resilient and emotionally mature
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to operate in fast paced environment and influence without authority
- Experience in HR projects and/or cloud technologies will be an advantage
- Flexibility to coordinate across time-zones when needed with rest of project
