At our HQ in Hedehusene, you will become part of Group Technology, counting more than 170 skilled colleagues delivering the production equipment used by our factories globally. Within Group Technology, you will join our GT Cold End Systems and Internal Logistics team of approx. 30 engineers.
Group Technology (GT) is executing CAPEX projects and commissioning world-class production equipment and factories of the ROCKWOOL Group. Our aim is to have the most competitive and flexible production platform in the industry while delivering top-class quality under safe conditions.

As a project engineer, you will work in all phases of a project, from concept study through specification and design to test, commissioning and after service. Your assignments may vary from small machine deliveries and engineering support to participation in large "Green Field" factory projects on a global scale – mainly in Europe, Asia and North America. Thus, you should expect approx. 60 - 80 travel days per year.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the machines and machine systems we deliver have the required functionalities and live up to customers’ requirements. Also, you will be in charge of the documentation and CE marking for the delivered solutions – typically in cooperation with machine suppliers. Ensuring machine safety is a key element in your daily tasks. Your responsibilities will be to:
• Prepare or give input to quotations, including scope and budget for future machine installations and making sure standards and best practice are utilised
• Participate in line layout which ensures functionality and ease of operation when equipment is implemented
• Prepare tender packages for functional or turnkey supplies – this includes specifications and requirements to a level where prequalified suppliers can make comparable offers
• Follow up on supplier progress and engage in clarifications
• Coordinate closely with the project team (project manager, electrical engineer and software engineer)
• Define best practice for future installations
• Conduct FAT tests at supplier sites
• Supervise the installation of equipment typically executed by subcontractors
• Commission installations

Moreover, you:
• Have an engineering degree and 5+ years of experience within mechanical and technology development
• Have experience working with engineering project execution, including specification and supplier follow-up
• Have experience within the fields of CE marking and machine safety
• Have a keen eye for quality and pay sharp attention to details
• Are fluent in English
