Group Technology (GT) is part of the main ROCKWOOL International organisation and consists of a network of departments that work together to create and deliver machines and production equipment as well as entire production lines for our international production sites.
Joining GT at our HQ in Hedehusene, you will be the latest addition to our Hot End, Fluids, Waste & Abatement department. Here you will join 4 fellow engineers who are specialised in designing, installing and managing fluids technology connected to binder, process water and cooling systems.

Working on projects varying in size and extent, you will use your process understanding to design and create solutions for our fluids storage, distribution, dosing and recirculation/ recycling systems and see these implemented at production sites all over the world.
For full-scope projects, you will be responsible for the concept study, design and specification, contracting and managing suppliers, installing, testing and finally, commissioning of the fluids systems. The short-term projects will require design proposals for troubleshooting problems and ensuring that our production can keep producing our high-quality products.
To accomplish this, you will:
• Travel up to 100 days per year to communicate with internal clients to understand the needs for equipment design and ensure follow-through on commissioning and aftercare
• Communicate, manage contracts and follow up with suppliers to ensure the delivery of correct solutions
• Manage and maintain designs, budgets and time schedules for your own projects
• Develop and document technical specifications, including documentation required for CE marking
• Troubleshoot and coordinate corrective/preventative actions on operating fluids-related equipment
You thrive in a position where you are responsible for translating client needs into the right solution through collaboration with both clients, suppliers and team members. You are excited to propose creative solutions, and you are highly driven to push for optimisations wherever possible.
You also bring:
• 3-10 years of experience from a similar position, designing/specifying process equipment for fluids such as process water, binder, cooling water, wastewater or rainwater
• A degree in mechanical or process engineering or the like
• The skills to analyse and translate customer needs into piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and monitor implementations to ensure high quality and durability
• Fluent communication skills in English – additional languages would be a great advantage
