We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer/Design & Develop Manager and Deputy project manager to manage our Engineering team in the S-Bane project and to assist the project manager – the project responsible for the introduction of new signalling technology on the Copenhagen S-Bane. The signalling system is delivered by an international supplier and the project team consists of Banedanmark employees and consultants from across Europe, therefore our office language is English.<br
The Danish Signalling Programme, as the largest of its kind in Europe, is fully engaged in replacing the old signalling systems on the Danish railway with new computer-based signalling technology. On the S-bane the train control part of the new signalling system is CBTC (Communication Based Train Control), but we are also replacing the interlockings, the train management system and the communication network.
Your place of employment will be at our headquarters in central Copenhagen.
Deputy Project Manager and Design Manager
As Deputy Project Manager you will be functioning as Assistant Project Manager for the Project Manager / Section Manager on the S-Bane project and as design manager you will be the Technical lead of the S-Bane project's "Engineering team".
Engineer with analytical skills and structured approach
You probably hold an engineering degree, and you have experience in handling delivery of multi-disciplined rail projects. It is an advantage if you already have experience in implementing new signalling technology on existing railway infrastructure
You have knowledge of CBTC or other IT based signalling solutions and experience with stakeholder management.
On a more personal level, we are looking for a team player with analytical skills, solution-oriented, a structured and detailed approach as well as good communication skills. At the same time you have good English skills and you have a good ability to delegate and follow up on deliveries.
Salary
You will be employed in relation to the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning Academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
