Safety activities in the implementation of signaling technology on the railway – are you ready to learn?
We are looking for three recent graduates to join us as Safety Advisors in the Safety & Interoperability team - a section under Banedanmark’s Signalling Programme. We do not expect you to know everything there is to know about railway safety or signaling systems, but we expect you to be curious and eager to learn the methodology as well as the more technical side of things.<br
We handle the overall railway safety of the entire implementation of the new signaling system, including the assessment of supplier and stakeholder inputs, to ensure that the project execution and deliveries fulfill the necessary safety requirements. The programme consists of different projects supported by an international supplier base and consultants from across Europe – the largest project of its kind in Europe.
Participate in ensuring essential safety activities
You will be included as part of a project safety team and have an active role in the cross functional section, Safety & Interoperability. You will therefore be involved in the different safety related activities across the Signalling Programme, thereby taking part in ensuring railway safety as the new signalling system is installed.<br
You will be working in close collaboration with an experienced Safety Manager and other Safety Advisors. They will teach you about the role, the tasks, and the organization. It will take some time to be able to work independently, but you will be given a lot of responsibility as soon as you are ready for it.
Your responsibilities as a trained Safety Advisor will be:
Recent graduates that are eager to learn
You hold a relevant degree, such as Engineering, Risk and Safety Management, Catastrophe and Risk management. You are probably a recent graduate and would like to gain your first experience in a large and complex organization. You are very motivated to learn and you are looking for a position with the possibility to develop and advance over time. In your studies you have developed an interest in Safety analysis and perhaps even the railway. You can also be experienced in working with safety in railway projects (CSM-RA), but it is not a prerequisite.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to constructively do stakeholder management are critical to succeed in this role, as it is built upon collaboration within engineering teams across the unit and externally. Therefore, we are looking for outgoing and open candidates who are aware of differences between professional and cultural backgrounds.
It is equally important that you thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires a high degree of methodical and analytical approach, as well as the flexibility to work around tight deadlines. You are an organized person. We offer a multi-national work environment, so it is necessary that you speak, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Salary
You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
