The position
As Global Communication Manager, you will report to Vice President of Media & Digital and in collaboration with the Associate Director in Media Relations and headquarters and regional colleagues, provide strategic communication guidance.
The primary function is to assist with the creation and development of thorough global issues management plans and guidance and coaching to affiliates about how to best communicate issues both internally and externally. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work on various high-impact projects, as time allows.

This role is based in Denmark or within CEST. There could be some travel required, as work dictates.
We offer an opportunity to work in a limited-time assignment of 2 years in which you will grow your network on all levels in Novo Nordisk, gain global exposure, and work closely with all the teams in Global Communication.

About the Department
Media & Digital is a team of communications professionals responsible for global media relations at Novo Nordisk, as well as oversight and strategy of corporate digital properties, such as novonordisk.com and social media domains. The team manages day-to-day media inquiries, proactive pitching and as well as issues and crisis management globally. We work closely with affiliates across the globe.
Based in Global Communication, you’ll work day-to-day with a diverse, wide range of colleagues highly skilled in various communication disciplines including content strategy & production, branding, media relations, and video production.

The position

- Preparing communication strategy and tactics on business-critical issues of a corporate/international nature
- Participating in issues management task forces
- Creating Issues Management Plans (IMP)
- Creation and distribution of communication plans to affiliates
- Day-to-day issues handling

Qualifications

- University degree in communication, journalism, or business
- 7-10 years of experience in either media relations or relevant issues management
- Proven track record managing global stakeholder relationships, participation in cross-functional meetings
- Excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills, primarily in English
