This may be the single most exciting job for anyone interested in transforming the way clinical data is efficiently handled and shared across the business – aspiring to create value throughout the value chain by enabling real-time access and analysis of clinical data, including RCT, real world data, multi omics, images, streaming data and more.
We are looking for someone who will sustain and further advance our ambition to become a global healthcare leader powered by data, analytics, and digital technologies – and drive change to help defeat diabetes and other chronic diseases.
In other words, as our new VP for Data Insights you will drive outcome and solutions that may be transformational in the way we operate, and significantly impact our efficiency, quality, and value for Novo Nordisk Development and Novo Nordisk at large.
About Data Management
We are currently 300+ colleagues in Data Management – across Denmark, India and North America, delivering to the wide Novo Nordisk Development pipeline.
The position
As our new VP, you will be responsible for establishing the new Data Insights team. This includes building and subsequently operating a consolidated data platform, including structuring, standardisation, anonymisation, curation and use of data across the product development process. You will ensure a seamless and simple governance that allows access to data across Novo Nordisk.
You will use your innovative thinking to drive new ways of continuously improve how we collect and utilise data throughout the business. Naturally, you will apply an adequate QMS framework, and ensure that data is utilised according to the highest ethical standards and in compliance with any given regulation/applicable law.

Qualifications
- You hold a Ph.D., M.D., M.Sc. degree – within life science, computer science, data science, mathematics or similar. Preferably, you also have a supplementary business education
- Extensive data science experience, including work experience from the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record in setting direction and creating business results with organisational impact
- Profound experience with working in international and diverse professional teams – including scientific and highly skilled, technical teams/groups and including external collaboration partners
- Proven track record of driving complex change and inspiring collaboration across professional fields and agendas
