Senior Project Manager in Digital Health IT
Do you want to break new ground? Do you want to deliver innovative digital solutions to 30.000.000 patients worldwide? Digital Health develop digital therapeutics and solutions for people living with Diabetes and other chronic diseases. We are searching for a Senior Project Manager with project management experience and knowledge of agile methodologies and development of mobile solutions.
Digital Health is a new and exciting area that delivers innovative digital solutions which will supplement Novo Nordisk’s drug offerings. You will work closely with the Digital Health business unit, developing new digital products, enabling new ways of interacting with patients and new business models by being innovative. You will work with mobile and emerging technology, cloud offerings and explore new development methods. You will implement new ways of working and overcome challenges related to development with partners, in a heavy regulated and complex environment.
About the department
Digital Health IT is responsible for delivering innovative IT solutions to Novo Nordisk’s entry into the Digital Health space which is a prioritized strategic focus area for Novo Nordisk.
The department is anchored in the unit: Digital Incubator & Innovation. We have existed less than three years, and we continuously move into new areas, where new ideas, competencies, solutions and perspectives are needed to succeed on our journey.
The colleagues are full of energy, highly flexible and adaptive in an environment where changes, updates and releases happen daily, and the prioritization and focus are changing as we discover and pursue new opportunities. We work in close partnership with both the Digital Health business unit and external partners to bring the best innovative solutions to market for our patients.
The position
As Senior Project Manager you will secure project governance, efficient resource management and handle supplier contracts etc. You will be responsible for driving projects from idea to go-live including final transition to DevOps. Together with colleagues from the commercial part of Digital Health you will ensure that ideas are matured and turned into development initiatives. Together with our external partners and the Global IT organisation you will build strong project teams, translating initiatives into successful projects delivering tangible benefits to the people with diabetes and other stakeholders.
The project teams typically consist of approx. 10-20 team members and our current project portfolio includes app development (SaMD software as a medical device) within several drug therapy areas, partner integrations, IT strategy and support material for executive decisions. You will be exposed to many different business areas throughout Novo Nordisk both in Denmark and globally.
As Senior IT Project Manager, you are expected to take part in the development of the department, be proactive in identifying better practices and bringing improvements to the area. You will also participate in internal optimisation projects in Digital Health IT including implementing and optimising our Agile way of working.
The position is based in Søborg and you should expect 25-35 days of travel. Since you will collaborate with colleagues across the globe, you must expect some meetings to take place outside DK working hours.
Qualifications
You have a Master's degree within relevant field and a proven track record with 5-7 years’ experience in IT project management, preferably within pharma or another regulated industry.
You are familiar with cloud offerings, software development, mobile technologies and apps and have delivered successful projects working with external IT partners.
You have worked with an innovation agenda and have a ‘can do’ mind-set, which is required to explore new ideas and solutions. You are known for your ability to set ambitious goals, your structured approach and to spot business opportunities in the most unusual places. You can convince others to believe in new concepts, practices and approaches. Your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills enables you to win over stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, in different geographies and from diverse cultures.
To succeed in this role, it is crucial that you thrive with working independently as well as part of a team. In addition, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility and drive success.
Fluency in English (oral and written) is a prerequisite.
