Are you passionate about working with PLC systems that along with our PCS and MES system make a complex industry running? Do you have an education in the field and gained experience from a lot of different tasks? Do you want to play an essential role in ensuring that our PLC automation systems are stable, work as optimal as possible and live up to current requirements? Then you may be our new colleague in Purification Plants (PP), which is part of Novo Nordisk's site Kalundborg.
About the department
In Diabetes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (DAPI), located in Kalundborg, we produce insulin. You will be joining the business area PP - Purification Plants, where we purify the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). The department Business Support, where the IT team are one of the four teams, primary task is to support the production.
The PP IT-Team, which consist of 16 individuals who run and maintain the production IT systems used in PP. Our production automation system consists of a PCS system (Sattline) and a MES/MOM system (LMES – Local Manufacturing Execution System) as well as several PLC systems. Besides that we ensure that our IT-platform is available for the automation platforms depending on our IT platform. We also ensure that we always are in compliance with current requirements, government demands and Novo Nordisk high internal requirements. Our presence in the production is often necessary, not only when something deviates but also to participate in optimization projects and maintenance.
The job
As our new PLC supporter, you will, in close collaboration with your colleagues, ensure and maintain our operational stability - while we comply with the regulatory requirements. Further you will participate in ensuring the future PLC setup, where automation will play an even more comprehensive role. Compliance with requirements as well as and associated documentation will form an important and significant part of your everyday work. You will have the opportunity to develop your professionalism in an environment with great ambitions, a systematic exchange of knowledge and strong structures that ensure both our security, our development opportunities and the quality of our joint work.
You will primarily work with our Siemens PLC systems incl. associated equipment and interfaces. You will get your hands on everything that makes our factory work regarding equipment, processes and software, primarily from the coding end, but also on the floor where it all happens.
Qualifications
You have a relevant academic or technical education and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and programming of PLC systems which consists of Siemens equipment SIMATIC STEP7 (TIA). Experiences from the pharmaceutical industry incl. associated requirements for documentation, compliance and LEAN will be an advantage.
As a person, you have a structured and analytical approach to challenges as well as a strong quality mindset. Discipline around planning, task execution and thorough documentation of all work performed comes naturally to you. You thrive well in a position where you both handle small and large complex tasks and deliver within agreed deadline.
You master communication at different levels as the job includes contact with employees across the organization, including operators, process supporters and managers. Our main language is Danish, but since some of our external partners are English, English is also a requirement in speech and writing.
