Are you looking for an exciting hands-on learning opportunity to supplement your studies? Join us as an intern in Novo Nordisk Pharmatech and get an opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues from many different nationalities within various fields.
The working hours are 37 hours a week and will be mainly lab based but also giving you the opportunity to learn project and communication skills. It is an opportunity for a unique learning experience and a chance to turn theories into practice.
The position
Your key responsibilities will be method development for the preparation of enzyme coupled resins. This includes synthesis of the agarose based resins, analytical development, and testing of the enzyme resin. In addition you must record and report of your scientific work. You will do all this in close collaboration with chemists and laboratory technicians in the team.
- Internship period: 6 months
- Working hours: 37 hours a week
- Start date: 2021.02.01
- Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows.
- A Danish full time work permit is required for those residing outside Denmark
Qualifications
You are current in your master study and have a biochemical background. A basic understanding of proteins and chemistry is a requirements. Enzymatic and/or chromatographic knowledge, understanding, and laboratory experience is an advantage. You are a strong team player with a good understanding of biochemical sciences. You put attention to detail and are conscious of working independently and safely in the lab. You have experience of using IT and scientific equipment and have an understanding of scientific literature. You are dynamic and flexible and have a strong personal drive . you are dedicated to ‘making a difference’ and ready to ‘go the extra mile’ when faced with challenges.
About the department
We are 30 employees consisting of Specialists, Research Scientists and Laboratory Technicians in the R&D department. The Research team is one of three teams and we have strong collaboration with the Manufacturing Development team. In Research we develop the new products for Novo Nordisk Pharmatech within high quality enzymes, novel chromatographic resins, and small molecules. The atmosphere is creative and relaxed, and we always strive to improve the way we do things. In the Research team, we offer an international research environment with focus on innovation.
