Are you experienced within analytical testing techniques e.g. HPLC, AAS and pH, and do you want to be part of a central analytical function, supporting QC in Novo Nordisk diabetes area globally? Then you may be our new academic.

About the department

Analytical Competence Centre is a department in Diabetes Finished Products (DFP) Manufacturing Development and consists of 38 employees organised in 2 teams. We have a central support function in relation to chemical analysis of Novo Nordisk diabetes finished products under development, as well as our marketed products.

We are responsible for validation of analytical methods before clinical phase 3, and on the marketed products we secure implementation of the analytical methods at our production sites across the world. We also support our colleagues globally with analytical knowledge and scientific help and drive optimisations.

Furthermore, the department has recently started on a journey involving scouting, testing and implementing new analytical techniques to reduce the lead time for analysis with the ambitious long-term goal of real time release testing of diabetes finished products. We strive to do all of this in a collaborative environment of joy and curiosity in our department.

The job

We are currently looking for a skilled academic for chemical analysis support in a permanent position in the Support & Innovation team which consists of 1 project manager, 6 academics, 7 laboratory technicians and 1 student worker.

The team is responsible for support to chemical analysis both internally in the department and globally on DFPs QC sites which we help with method related questions and problem solving, as well as training in new methods. Furthermore, the team is responsible for ongoing documentation of chemical analytical methods on marketed products in the diabetes area and for ensuring compliance to pharmacopoeias and external requirements.

The job also includes answering regulatory questions on method related subjects to external authorities as part of life cycle management of the diabetes products. As we work under GMP requirements Change Requests and SOP updates are a natural part of the job.

Our new academic will furthermore contribute to optimisation of current analytical methods and be involved in our journey towards a future QC with real time release of diabetes finished products.

Your main stakeholders will be colleagues in the department, Site QC across the world, QA, Regulatory Affairs and product project groups (working across production, specifications, analysis, Regulatory Affairs).

A few yearly traveling days might be expected.

Qualifications
You have a scientific academic degree such as cand. pharm., cand. scient., chemical engineer or similar. Working experience as analytical academic on techniques such as HPLC, AAS, pH, spectrophotometers, particle counters or microscope is expected. Experience with other and fast analytical techniques could be an advantage.

You have strong communication skills both in spoken and written English, and you are able to communicate in Danish. You enjoy technical writing as well as providing support to others, and you thrive in a changing environment with ambitious deadlines.

You have a positive mind-set and can keep it in all situations. Furthermore, we expect that you can work independently, are highly motivated and that your positive mind-set will impact your cooperation with the team and external colleagues.
