We are recruiting a Senior Medical Advisor to join the Global Medical Affairs team for a new product within dermatology

In Global Medical Affairs we are looking for a Senior Medical Advisor to help us deliver robust, insight-driven, fact-based and state of the art medical, scientific input and strategic guidance in support of a new product, a topical treatment for moderate-to-severe chronic hand eczema.

You will join a team of peers with strategic vision, business expertise and senior professional perspective on managing complex tasks and organizational challenges. Integrity, respect, curiosity, and courage to challenge status quo are central in our way of working.

The job

You assume a vital position and responsibility as the medical subject matter expert ensuring high level of medical, scientific & therapeutic area expertise across the organization, that will drive an optimal market oriented medical positioning. You will be a member of the Global Medical Affairs team dedicated to the new product. You will provide medical input for research, development and commercial strategies and will collaborate with Regional Medical teams to ensure a successful global development and commercialization of the new product.

Key job assignments

  • Understand eczema as a disease and the treatment landscape to provide medical content for optimal medical positioning of the new product
  • Generate and provide medical content, and support for:
    • in- and external dialog to guide market oriented medical positioning and development of asset
    • communication and publication supporting positioning and disease awareness
    • medical content for engagement activities i.e. Symposia, Advisory boards, and expert meetings
    • Global Medical Affairs documents i.e. Scientific Narrative, Target Product Claims
    • in- and external education material and training

  • Medical review of documentation to ensure quality and alignment with global strategy
  • Identification of clinical and pre-clinical data gaps and provide input to gap closing initiatives in the respective plans
  • Role-model performance culture and leadership through cross-functional and external orientation, partnering within key stakeholders
  • Provide market oriented medical input to trial design and protocol development of RWE initiatives (incl. NIS and IIS proposals)

You inspire and motivate people with different backgrounds by proactively building effective working relationships and network connections throughout the organization.

Your qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, within the pharmaceutical industry and/or in clinical research
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, within Medical Affairs. Experience from global positions preferred
  • Medical degree or similar required, experience in dermatology preferred
  • Good business/commercial understanding
  • Track record of collaboration with commercial, legal, regulatory, and medical communications
  • Excellent understanding of the clinical development programs including compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Leadership skills and ability to lead through influence in a cross-functional global team environment
  • Strong goal orientation, an ability to make decisions and a history of meeting deadlines and objectives
  • Experience in managing Key Opinion Leader relationships
  • Skilled in developing, reviewing, understanding, and presenting clinical and scientific information to multiple audiences
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Is highly organized, meets project deadlines and proactively delivers on business objectives
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestic and international
  • Full professional proficiency in both spoken and written English
