Do you want to be part of an entrepreneurial success story started six years ago in a basement in Copenhagen which in 2021 will hit well above DKK 200M in revenue and continues to realize triple digit annual revenue growth? A brand with amazing products which the customers love.

We are looking for our future Marketing Director to build and lead our dedicated marketing team. This is one of those rare opportunities to really make your mark. Build a best-in-class team, and take the reins on one of the most hyped brands in the premium children’s clothing & accessories categories. Your main responsibility will be to ensure a high brand awareness and customer pull in selected markets. In other words, sowing the seeds so that the B2B and e-commerce teams can harvest the fruits of your good work.

You will be reporting to the CCO and work closely with your good colleagues in our B2B Sales and E-commerce teams. Together, you will play a key role in unleashing the huge potential in an already internationally successful company. You will have full autonomy over your team, ranging from marketing strategy, content creation, influencers to PR, and manage everything within the space of marketing. The Konges Sløjd brand is currently present globally, but brand awareness varies a lot, and this will be one of your key tasks: further grow brand awareness in select strategic markets.

  • Thrives in seeing team members grow and is ready to support in the right way at the right time.
  • Wants to play an active role outside of the marketing team, especially in the intersection between marketing, sales, design and our supply chain operations.
  • Is never afraid to take a hands-on approach, as the team at times will be fully loaded managing the many tasks of growing our brand.

You will be a success in this role once you:

  • In collaboration with the CCO have defined the marketing strategy for Konges Sløjd and set in in motion. The main focal points will be brand awareness, identifying the right channels depending on markets, creating the right content for those channels, which in turn will lead to a growth in followers and engagement rate on SoMe etc.
  • Have scoped and implemented the ideal team to achieve the goals, consisting of content creation, organic SoMe, PR, influencers and more.
  • Based on the strategy, set clear and ambitious goals for your team, and follow through with them.
  • Execute on the strategy. As is a well-known fact, execution is everything.
  • Lead and coach your team. Help the team identify the right doors and guide them to success.
  • Have reached your KPIs within brand awareness and brand perception.

What qualifications should the Marketing Director have?

  • ≈ 10 years of experience from marketing within the fashion industry, alternatively within the kids category, or from the interior design space.
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
  • Experience with the entire spectrum of marketing and brand building, and a solid knowledge of how to define and work towards set KPIs.
  • International experience, as a minimum within EU, but ideally with Asia/US experience as well.
  • Success within recruitment and development of team members
  • An ongoing interest in what’s next, and the ability to suggest what’s right for Konges Sløjd at a given point in time.
  • It is an advantage if you speak Danish but it is not a requirement

Starting date is as soon as possible. Salary according to qualifications. Our office is located in central Copenhagen.
