The position
In collaboration with your colleagues in global, regional and affiliate offices, you will lead a range of strategic priorities and projects coming both from the Global Project Team (GPT) and the Global Commercial Team (CCT) with high impact across the value chain. You will play an important role in defining key strategic tracks in the Product Development Plan (PDP) but also work as a bridge to the strategy portfolio projects in the Marketing VP area. In this role, you will get the opportunity to influence and deliver the commercial strategy as well as lead the future aspiration with a strong focus on delivering on a world class life cycle management strategy. A key focus will be to identify where and how to focus our investment activities to support the launch of and meet the aspirations attached to Novo Nordisk’s next generation insulin. You will need to navigate complexities in a very competitive market with substantial differences across regions. The role will work very closely with both the Global Marketing Team, Global Project Team (GPT) and senior management that are taking all product-related decisions related to launch readiness and investments. Qualifications As a successful candidate, you hold strong experience with portfolio strategy, project management of large cross functional strategies and have 8-10 years of knowledge and relevant experience within the pharmaceutical value chain. You have a proven track of delivering results in a matrix organisation and understand the interplay between functions to deliver a successful launch. Experience from global, regional and/or local roles would be an asset. You hold an academic degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Medicine, or other relevant degree. Key aspects to succeed in this role are: Strong analytical skills and financial acumen to allow for strong informed decision-making Proven track record of driving global strategic projects, from scoping to implementation (e.g., consultancy experience, portfolio strategy responsibility etc.) Very strong project management skills and ability to solve complex issues with understanding on the pharmaceutical value chain Experience from the pharmaceutical industry will be a very strong advantage Proven results in driving portfolio strategies and/or previous project work leading life cycle management strategies Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to drive complex decision making in a matrix organisation will be seen as a must, as this role engages with a very broad set of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation across, among others, marketing, medical, regulatory, product supply, finance, device and digital health Above all, we hope to welcome a true team player and a strong commercial strategist into this truly exciting senior global commercial role, which for the right candidate offers an opportunity of a transformative career journey. The global Insulin Portfolio Unit is responsible for driving the commercialisation of insulin products in development and on the market. The team sets global strategic direction for the brands through a co-creation approach with both global, regional and affiliate stakeholders.
The job is located in Denmark, within Novo Nordisk’s Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs (CS&CA) organisation as part of the Diabetes unit.
