The position As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will provide legal advice to our Clinical, Regulatory and Medical headquarter teams and thereby play an important role in directing the global legal approach for our therapy areas and clinical trials, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The potential impact of your work is large, given that you will: • be a trusted legal advisor and provide impactful legal advice to our Clinical, Regulatory and Medical colleagues working within one of our larger therapy areas, • act as our team’s subject matter expert on legal strategies and processes, and lead our advice to strategic teams or projects within Development, • proactively drive global processes and initiatives, including developing proactive guidelines and tools to help navigate complex legal and compliance matters, • communicate and train colleagues in Development and in our international legal organisation to ensure compliance with legal strategies and processes, and • developing innovative legal solutions to new and challenging issues in a changing environment. You will work in cross functional teams and advise in collaboration with compliance and legal colleagues worldwide and be responsible for our engagement with external counsels and third parties. You will have independent responsibility for key tasks but also work together with the lawyers in the Pharma Law team and abroad. The workplaces will be in Bagsværd and Søborg, Denmark. As part of the Global Legal organisation, you would also be involved with cross-functional Global Legal projects. Additionally, various opportunities within Novo Nordisk, both in Denmark and abroad, offer potential for further personal development. Qualifications You hold a relevant master’s degree in Law, have minimum 5 years of post-graduation experience, and have a strong track record as legal counsel at a law firm or in an internationally oriented company, clinical research organization or similar. It is an advantage if you have experience in advising on legal and compliance matters relating to the pharmaceutical industry, in particular in relation to clinical trials, regulatory matters, data protection and pharmaceutical advertising laws. To thrive and succeed, we expect you to bring and be interested in further developing: • Strong legal acumen, including within drafting and negotiating international commercial contracts • Business partnering skills, including a proactive approach to understanding our customers’ needs and enabling business results through best-in-class legal advice • Project management skills, incl. ability to drive multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a structured manner, and to take a strategic approach to risk management and prioritisation • Enjoy working both independently and in cross-functional teams • Strong written and verbal English communication and stakeholder management skills, which enable you to clearly convey complex issues and navigate among stakeholders from different cultures and business functions You will bring to your work a high level of energy, positive attitude, and team-oriented approach, and will join a team of highly motivated, hard-working, and collaborative professionals. About the department You will be a key part of the high performing, dynamic, fun and international Pharma Law Development team consisting of 5 lawyers that are all legal business partners to Clinical Development, Regulatory and Medical Affairs. The team is part of the Pharma Law team in Global Legal & Patents, located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark.
