The position
In Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) we are planning to expand our production facilities in Hillerød, to meet the future need of our expanding product pipeline. Therefore, we are looking for a Piping Senior Project Manager to head up the piping and main distribution work package. You will combine your project management skills and technical knowledge on a highly critical project with high strategic impact for Novo Nordisk’s future business.
Your responsibilities will include:
You will participate in and can personally shape a large, high-profile green field facility project for which the ambition is to become a facility of the future adopting new and sustainable solutions and technologies.
On-site/office presence is required overall, however, we do have a flexible workplace policy allowing for occasional work-from-home as well. Travel to visit suppliers and engineering partners must be expected up to approximately 50 days a year.

About the department
Our team is part of the BRD Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Denmark Area that is located in Gentofte, Hilleroed and Kalundborg. This is where the active ingredients, going into all our life-saving biotech products, are made by app. 500 committed colleagues. We manufacture through complex chemical and biotechnological processes requiring a high level of expertise, commitment, and engagement from our employees and including cultivation, recovery, purification and freeze-drying. We are producing at full speed in existing facilities, while building and ramping up new state of the art additions to keep up with demand and new Novo Nordisk products. We bring value to patients by delivering the purest possible high-quality API made in compliance with Good Manufacturing Process (GMP). We drive change by always looking for improvements within our processes, but also in the way we work together to make our products reach as many patients as possible.

The position

Therefore, we are looking for a Piping Senior Project Manager to head up the piping and main distribution work package. You will combine your project management skills and technical knowledge on a highly critical project with high strategic impact for Novo Nordisk’s future business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and drive the Piping and Main Distribution Work Package with your team and engineering partner
- Ensure good collaboration and stakeholder management towards suppliers, engineering partners and your team internally based on your leadership and communication skills.
- Ensure timely deliverables from all parties in collaboration with engineering partner.
- In collaboration with our engineering partner and procurement management team perform contract management versus suppliers to ensure scope, time, and economy are on track

- An educational background within Mechanical, Process or similiar.
- Experience within mechanical/piping engineering and design preferred
- +5 years of experience with mechanical project management/lead/WPO of large pharma/biotech CAPEX projects
- +5 years of experience within the life-science industry
- Full professional proficiency in English
