The position In Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) we are planning to expand our production facilities in Hillerød, Denmark, to meet future needs of our growing product pipeline. Our department is looking for a Generic Master Batch Record (GMBR) designer trainee working in a project team developing digital recipes (GMBRs) for the future API production together with experienced GMBR designers. You will be part of setting the standard in building our new platform of the manufacturing execution system (MES) PAS-X. Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Taking part of Project Implementation Team developing API recipes (GMBRs) in PAS-X.
  • Understand the API production processes and ensure suitable PAS-X solutions (GMBR design).
  • Learn and master PAS-X GMBR skills in order to maintain the recipes after project. implementation once the production is up running on a daily basis.
  • Taking part of the integration to SAP systems, DeltaV & PLC systems.
  • This is a great opportunity for you who would like to develop yourself. We provide all needed training. Skills will be developed through courses and on-the-job training sessions. This project will give you the opportunity to be involved in a new, high-profile green field project, and to be involved in shaping a new department. The overall purpose of the PAS-X GMBR designer role is to support our ambition of products being released by real-time quality control and assurance, where digitalisation is of crucial importance. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have:
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy or similar.
  • + 1 year of relevant experience from working within production support, preferable knowledge within API in a GMP regulated environment.
  • Preferable experience with validation/qualification.
  • Preferable knowledge to production recipes in MES systems (PAS-X) from production.
  • Structured working approach and high data quality mindset.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written. Danish is advantageous.

    About the department Our team is part of the BRD Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Denmark Area located in Gentofte, Hillerød and Kalundborg. This is where the active ingredients, going into all our life-saving biotech products, are made by app. 500 committed colleagues. We manufacture through complex chemical and biotechnological processes (this includes cultivation, recovery, purification, and freeze-drying), which requires a high level of expertise, commitment, and engagement from our employees. We are producing at full speed in existing facilities, while building and ramping up new state of the art additions to keep up with demand and new Novo Nordisk products.
