About the department The D&A team consists of various DevOps resources including project managers, UX & Product designers, digitalisation architects, and developers. The team works with technologies within manufacturing IT and as part of the digital journey, we are looking into applying and enhancing our cloud-based services, process digitalisation, process automation, and exploring new use cases within ML/AI, digital twins etc. DMS has embarked on an exciting journey within Manufacturing Intelligence, enabling better and faster decision-making based on data to optimise production efficiency and we are looking for an UX Designer to further strengthen our team. The team is located at our Manufacturing site in Hillerød, Denmark.
The position As an UX Designer across different innovation projects, you will be the main driver of gathering user insights and translating them into digital product concepts, from first user interview and process mapping to prototyping, to building the first proof of concept. Key responsibilities include:
  • Driving the design process from start to finish, including research, mapping, and prototyping
  • Iterating concepts actively with prototypes at different levels of fidelity
  • Collaborating within a cross-functional team, which includes engineers, developers, innovation consultants, and other designers, and act as the main point of contact toward business experts and end-users
  • Communicating your findings effectively, ensuring stakeholders understand the link between user insights and business impact
  • Creating initial UI designs in tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
  • Qualifications
    To be our new UX Designer, we expect you meet most of the following requirements:
  • Minimum a BA or BSc within a relevant field, e.g. Human-Computer Interactions, User Research, Business, etc
  • 3 years of experience within User Research, UI Design, Product Design, and/or Innovation Facilitation of digital product development
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
  • Demonstrated experience within user research methodologies and track record of driving user-centric processes in cross-functional teams in a pragmatic manner
  • Experienced working with cross-disciplinary, close-knitted teams in an Agile manner
  • Excellent facilitation skills, being able to manage different perspectives and keeping an eye on the purpose of any activity
  • As a person, you have strong analytical skills, are detail oriented and known to deliver on your promises. You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders, and the ability to showcase the Design Thinking way of working through convincing deliverables.
